Welcome to Malkia Beauty. I am so excited to have you here. Let me introduce myself in a short little blurb so you can get to know me!
My journey in beauty therapy started long before I was even born. Yup, you got that right. The passion goes back 3 generations. My grandmother was the first beauty therapist to hit the shores of Fiji all the way from India. Upon landing she opened up her first establishment “PRIMROSE” where she indulged Fijians in her famous milk baths and herbal facials.
Her extraordinary work of changing skins and self-esteems positively influenced my mother, Pratibha to carry on the passion to the next level. With the partnership of my father they succeeded in re branding and re developing the company to offer more for their loyal clients.

That history leads to me, youngest of three. I started my journey when I was about 14 years old and used to take my friends to Mantra. I didn’t know what I was doing but all I knew was that I wanted to wax everyone’s legs. So I did. It was a good time. However, these things can only be self-taught to a certain limit.
I furthered my education and was awarded “student of the year” upon graduating from Elite international, New Zealand’s premier beauty academy. I then attained my international qualification through CIDESCO; which is the world’s most prestigious qualification for Aesthetics and Beauty Therapy.
My passion grew stronger for skin, so I furthered my education by attending courses and classes that would teach me more. Since I've struggled through acne for many years of my life, it became my main goal to help clients with any skin concerns. The internet is a crazy place where you will find many "solutions" that may not necessarily work. Where to start can get confusing, so leave it to me. Geeta retires and Pratibha takes over the running of the business, introducing international skin care brands and new technologies

Rebrands to Beauty Mantra and opens the Suva Central flagship

Beauty Mantra opens its second branch

Nandika opens Malkia Beauty in Auckland, continuing my grandmother– and mother’s legacy of helping clients achieve great looking skin

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Caitlin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Malkia team.
Besides having previously worked at some of the best salons in Auckland, Caitlin ran her very own clinic in St Heliers for a number of years. After having her beautiful daughter Aubrey, Caitlin has decided to take a step back and enjoy motherhood.
Caitlin has a bubbly personality and a way of making clients feel comfortable and taken care of. She’s an incredibly fast waxer, an absolute whiz with eyebrows, lash lifts & laminations. Above all, Caitlin’s true passion & expertise lies in helping clients heal their skin. From inside out.
She is committed to providing the highest quality service, ensuring that every client leaves feeling satisfied.

Senior TherapistAshley moved to New Zealand from Fiji in June of 2023, where she worked at Beauty Mantra for a long number of years.
With six years of experience in the industry, when booking with Ashley you can feel confident that all your expectations will be more than just met. Her work is timely, precise & impeccable. She has a quiet & calm nature with a relaxing touch. Her attention to detail is out of this world.
Steph
Operations Manager || ReceptionistStephanie is the master of all operations at Malkia. She will handle all your bookings, requests, last minute skincare orders to last minute "I need to get in today please!" moments. Stephanie is a bubbly, chatty and welcoming personality that you will find sitting at our reception ready to greet you with all her positivity. She is Nandika's right hand woman when it comes to running the clinic & every Malkia clients saving grace!
